Few cities had greater influence on the development of Jewish books than Venice. The National Library of Israel is bringing together leading international experts for a symposium to be held in the spectacular setting of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana in the heart of Venice.


We invite you to discover the stories behind Hebrew printing in Venice from the 16th century and the people whose influence spread beyond the walls of the Ghetto and across generations.
